When am I available?
I am able to offer a flexible working pattern. Many clients working shifts or commuting have appreciated this. I offer a range of sessions between
8.00am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and by arrangement Friday to Sunday.
Where am I accessible to?I am very accesible for counselling Peterborough situated approximately 2 miles South of the City centre. I am also conveniently located as a counsellor Northampton a road journey of around an hour. Towns and villages such as Oundle, Thrapston, Yarwell and Nassington are less than 30 minutes away.For counselling Stamford it is around a 30 minute trip.For Kings Lynn approxiametly 40 minutes, for Wisbech and March approxiametly 30 minutes and Whittlesey 20 minutes.Huntingdon and Cambridge are about 40 minutes away and Leicester an hour.
What do I offer?I offer one to one counselling and psychotherapy; this involves an initial mutual assessment process.
How does this happen?Following on from a brief
free telephone consultation I arrange a
face-to-face meeting (for which a fee is payable) to obtain some background information in order to build up a picture of your history and aspects of your life that you may wish to explore. On this occasion I complete documentation with you, this takes the form of a questionnaire and takes approximately one full hour. There is an opportunity for you to ask any questions and identify areas you may like to work on. I will offer you a chance to reflect before making a commitment to work together and often find that I need some time to process the information before I can indicate your options.
What happens next?I will arrange to contact you so that we can share the outcome of the assessment process. I may offer information regarding additional or alternative support at this stage. If we decide to work together an appointment for our first session can be booked (for which a fee is payable). At the first session I will provide a written contract outlining the agreement we have made. Sessions are usually at
weekly intervals. Some people find a regular day and time suits them, others appreciate some flexibility to accommodate their lifestyle.
How much does it cost?Individual sessions are
£40.00 and are for one hour.
Employee Assistance work is avaialble at a rate of £50.00 per contact hour . I may need to apply additional charges for administration time.
Changing AppointmentsI endeavour to be
flexible and will support any requests for appointment changes that I can however I operate a seven-day cancellation policy. This means that if a request to change an appointment is made and I can accommodate it within the seven days, there is a straight swap. If I am unable to accommodate any change within the seven days and I cannot re sell the time that has been booked, the full fee is due. This helps me to control my costs and minimises the need to increase my fee. I regularly review my fee and would offer at least four weeks notice of any increase that I might need to make.
